It’s National Library Week! You are invited to celebrate with us on Wednesday, April 15, for a “last hurrah” in our current building.
We have a lot to celebrate! Before our big move to a new building this summer, we are looking back on many years and accomplishments. Join us as we reminisce:
- A tabletop display of library scrapbooks and articles about the original construction of this building.
- A running slide show featuring the people who have worked in this building as well as events that have taken place in the library over the years. The slide show will also include photos of the construction and remodeling of our current building.
- Technology permitting, we may also run a few old films that chronicle some events from BSC’s past.
- Starting at 11a.m., we will have cookies and lemonade (while supplies last!)
National Library Week is a time to highlight the value of libraries, librarians, and library workers. First sponsored in 1958, it is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.
