National Library Workers Day

NLWD is a day for library staff, users, administrators, and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers.

National Library Week – April 12-18, 2009

Open House Celebration on Wednesday!

nlw-20093National Library Week is an annual observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.  The theme for this year’s celebration is Worlds Connect @ Your Library and Jamie Lee Curtis is the honorary chair. 

Join us for an open house celebration on Wednesday, April 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Enjoy some refreshments while you celebrate libraries and view the student art show.

Library Hours – Easter Holiday

The BSC Library will observe these hours during the Easter holiday:

  • Thursday, April 9 — 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, April 10 — Closed
  • Saturday, April 11 — Closed
  • Sunday, April 12 — Closed
  • Monday, April 13 — 7:45 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 14.

Art Student Exhibition 2009

A selection of artwork by BSC art students is on display at the BSC Library through May 15.  The opening reception will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 4 to 7 p.m.  This is your chance to meet the artists and enjoy complimentary refreshments.  Dustin Braaten, a BSC guitar student, will also perform classical guitar music from 5 to 5:30 p.m. during the reception.
