Celebrate BSC’s New Buildings on September 22

Stop by and see the Library’s new digs on the ground floor of the Communications and Creative Arts Center during an open house celebration on Tuesday, September 22, from 4 to 7 p.m.

BSC is celebrating four projects: the new Communications and Creative Arts Center, Lloyd Ritchie Residence Hall, Gate City Bank Residence Hall (currently under construction), and the makeover of BSC’s Student Union.


  • 4-5:30 p.m. – Self-guided building tours; music by a BSC faculty/student combo outside Schafer Hall; grilled hot dogs on the Student Union patio
  • 5:30 p.m. – Dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony, outdoor courtyard next to CACC [Rain location is the Library Commons]
  • 6:15-7 p.m. – Self-guided building tours

This Is It!

THIS IS IT!  Today (Thursday, July 2) is our last day to be open in our current building.  Bittersweet.

Stop by for a last look and a fond farewell.  We’ll be here until 4 p.m.

Library Boring … NOT!!

During spring break, engineers studying the library building took core samples and bored several holes both inside and outside the building.  Don’t let the sign mislead you … the BSC Library is THE place to be.  Check us out!
